  2. Ability Collapse blocks of code/regions and commented out regions

    It's weird this program doesn't have it, I thought it's a basic functionality. I'd appreciate having that.

  3. Something is blocking your ads and it is not an ad blocker

    I'm receiving a banner with the message, "Please don't block our ads :( － Ad sponsors allow us to make Codeshare free." I don't use ad blockers, and I've confirmed that my privacy settings in Google Chrome aren't blocking cookies or ads.

    Additionally, the ads and message banners are obstructing the last four lines of code. Making them less intrusive could prevent many users from closing or blocking the ads.

    I recommend checking how the ads are being served if you want to grow your business. Best of luck with resolving this issue.

  5. Prevent cheating in Coding Interviews

    Add an option to track who is accessing the codeshare link and restrict/remove users who are accessing the link. Candidates are found cheating where they share the link with their "support" guy who will be actually writing the code on candidate's behalf. The candidates will just sit in front of the monitor and pretend to type while the actual problem solving is done by someone else.

  7. Add comments to a piece of code

    Just like a code review tool, it'd be great if a peer (for example, tutor) can comment on the parts of the code and suggest improvements or ask questions.

  8. you guys should remove & unify reqs from this F&F section

    This is for you guys, not us users.

    I see a lot of requests for features that you've already implemented. Would be nice if you guys would be able to remove them.

    I see lots of duplicated requests, and almost-same requests; would be nice if you guys could unify them. The request list is huge!

  9. need better white-background color schemes.

    You have great black-background themes, but the only white-background theme that's usable is 'eclipse' (lang=JS-jsx). You cannot take a black-bg theme and just change the background - the result is a barely-visible theme, because all the other colors start out very bright.

    There's little contrast against a white bg. All 3 of the numbers should be 0 to b, and at least one should be zero, otherwise it's not dark enough. In Base-16, there's colors #f4bf75, and #90a959, basically pastel tint colors. Worst is icecoder, where a color is #eee - what a poor color against a bg that's #fff!…

    There is no option to revoke share or lock the shared code? Similar to coderpad access is locked down after the interview.

    I think it would be beneficial and crucial for codeshare to add MATLAB to their library of languages. MATLAB is frequently used languages throughout the world due to the capabilities it has. Therefore, I am speaking for many others as well when I say MATLAB needs to be added.

  19. lock focus onto cursor

    When multiple parties are editing different segments of a file, things like carriage returns and line deletions above you will "jitter" what you are working on.

    If you observe the same multi-user concurrent editing in Google Docs for example, you'll see that each user's focus is locked to it's cursor and line add/removal above it doesn't jitter the page.

  20. to stop refreshing until share button is triggered.

    I used codeshare only for me.
    to write my thoughts or pseudo code before actual coding.
    refreshing the view sometimes while using alone is not helpful and annoying.
    i request to stop refreshing the view until share button is triggered.
