allow the use of view mode after you register.
"sorry, only registered users manage permissions"
Yet once you register, there's no way to change to view only. So it's a totally nonfunctional feature.

Ability to change fonts (client side).
Many programmers have specific fonts they would like to use, but not everyone likes the same fonts. So, Client Side font choice would be great. I recommend AnonymousPro :)

Seeing your code in real-time
Please allow it so that the users can view their code as they are coding. For example, HTML coding can be made faster as a group if the coders can easily identify how they've gone wrong by actually seeing the product of the code rather than having to continuously copy and paste it into an application that can do it

Execute code
It would be nice if you could run the code you have entered or typed. This will greatly help teach others by demonstrating, and it allows you to test your code.

Scrollbar problem
On some screens I've used, there's no scrollbar, which makes it impossible to scroll if you don't have a mouse plugged in. The computer I found this issue on is a 1366 x 768 Chromebook. (Sorry, I can't find a way to see any more details about it.)

Disable auto completion
Completing quotes, brackets, parentheses, etc. is far too confusing for the people I talk to with Codeshare.
When I type, " , I don't want "" to be the result. It's maddening.

white board
If you need to visually depict an idea or question, I would recommend allowing the person to be able to have a whiteboard area that allows someone to use their finger (if touch display) or their mouse to draw the picture.

Word Wrap!
Without word wrap it's pretty much unusable for many LaTeX documents, for example, where it's normal to have very long lines.
This feels like a fairly easy thing to add.24 votes -
SQF Language support
The Arma game series has it's own Scripting language called SQF.
Github and Discord already have SQF support. codeshare would be very useful for teaching/helping people with SQF.Reference implementations:

I messed up the hole thing just trying to copy code using my tablet. So, do like Google Drive and show us older versions and a way to rollback to them.
